Equinoxes & Equanimity

Hello, and happy Spring!
Yes, the Spring Equinox was yesterday, and yes, we are currently under a bushel of snow. So disheartening. I was really hoping yesterday was going to be the day when I could bundle up and take my yoga outside for the first time this year. For those of you who don't know, it's traditional to practice 108 sun salutations on the winter and summer solstice, and some junkies like to do it on the equinoxes too**. But luckily, "yoga teaches us to cure what cannot be endured and endure what cannot be cured" (BKS Iyengar) and I had a great little session inside for the first time in months.

I hope this Equinox finds you peaceful, happy, and healthy. I hope that wherever you are, you're making the best of it. And I hope you're as excited as I am for the start of LoveYoga!

See you soon!
Janine

**To be fair, you can definitely do 108 sun salutations whenever you feel like it. I've heard tell that the Dalai Lama completes this marathon of mental, spiritual, and physical discipline every morning. But like... sheesh. Most humans have to work up to it a little bit.
